Regional Procurement Manager, Global Procurement Organization

We are currently seeking a Regional Procurement Manager to lead and manage a team geographically dispersed site Site Procurement Managers. This individual will lead their team to provide meaningful procurement solutions and deliver against key performance indicators to contribute against regional procurement and local operational FC goals. They will integrate with key site and regional operational and support leaders driving procurement contributions.


Key job responsibilities
  1. Hire and develop a strong team able to deliver procurement solutions and scale with the network demands on a long term planning horizon.
  2. Lead team to develop and manage a dependable, cost effective and high performing supply chain for locally managed goods and services.
  3. Ensure network-wide standardization for all procurement related processes and Amazon operations locations service activities.
  4. Partner with internal customers to positively influence spending decisions.
  5. Lead sourcing engagements, as well as sourcing teams, as you identify new opportunities and RFXs, where appropriate.
  6. Analyze and determine opportunities to leverage and rationalize the supply base, using smart analytical tools and techniques.
  7. Implement supplier agreements/contracts, by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers as you reach agreement on contract terms and conditions.
  8. Participate with start-up teams for new, local Amazon buildings, setting up local suppliers and services, including working with cross-functional teams to secure long lead time capital purchases, optimizing indirect procurement supply chain and establishing multi-year contracts.
  9. Drive 100% compliance to policies and procedures with operations partners.
  10. Drive elimination of ‘waste’ within Procurement processes in order to define best and standardized practice across the network.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor’s degree preferably in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or Finance or equivalent.
  2. Relevant sourcing experience.
  3. Previous management experience.
  4. Motivation to learn, develop and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Proven project management skills and experience.
  6. Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
  7. Attention-to-detail, alongside proven ability to manage multiple, conflicting priorities.
  8. Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g. Oracle, Coupa, and SAP).
  9. Microsoft Excel skills, alongside willingness to learn proprietary systems.
  10. Experience with metrics creation and data presentation.
  11. Proficient in Italian and English (written and spoken).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Advanced degree such as a Masters in Procurement.
  2. Advanced Supply chain certifications.
  3. Advanced Analytics and communication skills and experience.
  4. Previous experience in Operations/Supply Chain/Logistics/Ecommerce.
