Overview

As Regional Mobilization and Network Program Director, you will focus on mobilizing new region data center capacity and managing the Data Center Operations Network Program.

You will provide leadership and direction in establishing program roadmaps, staffing efficiencies, process improvements, and governance for DC Operations strategy to support current and future growth. Collaborating with all CO+I stakeholders, you'll support network and server capacity, driving service excellence through industry best practices.

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) powers our cloud services. As an Operations Manager for the Regional Mobilization Team, you will play a key role in delivering infrastructure and foundational technologies for services like Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Azure. CO+I emphasizes personal and professional development, offering training, career rotation, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and certifications.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND significant experience in server and network deployment in large-scale environments, or supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Experience leading diverse, technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in data center functions within large enterprise, mission-critical, 24x7 environments.
  • Technical degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with project and program management in complex, cross-functional organizations.
  • Knowledge of network technologies: TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Routing, Switching.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies like Six Sigma or Kaizen.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic vision and implementation for regional data center operations to accommodate future growth.
  • Lead network roadmap development, staffing, process improvements, and governance for regional expansion.
  • Manage regional network projects for CO+I data center operations.
  • Lead IT & IAM teams supporting data center capacity in EMEA.
  • Oversee network delivery, data center fitouts, retrofits, and collaborate on resource planning for new sites.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, and other stakeholders during mobilization and project execution.
  • Manage budgets, identify risks, and communicate opportunities for improvement.
  • Document lessons learned, best practices, and innovations to enhance efficiency.
  • Establish data analytics to assess process improvements.
