This role demands a financial strategist who thinks in systems, not headcount. You'll create the AI-native architecture that handles complex financial operations with minimal human intervention. Your decisions will directly impact how millions of students experience learning while setting new standards for what a modern finance function can achieve.

What You Will Be Doing

1. Architect and implement an AI-first finance system that eliminates inefficiencies while supporting rapid growth across multiple education businesses.
2. Author definitive Important Design Decisions that codify and scale critical finance workflows, creating leverage beyond traditional team structures.
3. Deliver precision written feedback on Deep Dives and Improvement Plans that simultaneously trains both AI systems and human operators.
4. Drive high-impact decisions in strategic meetings focused on budgets, market expansion, vendor negotiations, and regulatory compliance.
5. Ensure flawless execution of mission-critical finance operations—from tuition management to audits to tax filings—at institutional scale.

• Implementing off-the-shelf ERP solutions without substantial customization and optimization.

Regional Financial Controller Key Responsibilities

Architect and operate a lean, AI-native finance system that powers multiple high-growth education businesses, with zero bloat and maximum scale.

Basic Requirements

• CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or MBA
• 10+ years in progressive finance leadership roles (Finance Manager, Controller, CFO, or equivalent) with demonstrated scope expansion
• Senior finance leadership experience (SVP, CFO, or equivalent) with comprehensive ownership across all core finance functions
• Exceptional command of US GAAP and integrated financial statements
• Extensive experience optimizing ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, etc.) in complex, multi-entity organizations
• Direct experience with 5+ external audits conducted by Big 4 firms, either leading as a client or conducting as auditor
• Superior written and verbal English communication skills, capable of direct executive-level engagement
• Location within UTC-8 to UTC+3 time zones

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Knowledge of K-12 education models in the U.S. (private, charter, ESA programs)
• Proven track record building finance automation or AI-driven workflows from first principles
• Demonstrated success managing finance operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions
