A leading company in the glass and chemicals industry is seeking a Regional Environmental Engineer to oversee environmental management across its Italian plants. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in environmental engineering and 2-3 years of relevant experience, along with strong knowledge of environmental regulations and certifications. This role requires fluency in both English and Italian, as well as proficiency in Excel. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, managing sustainability practices, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

Competenze

• 2-3 years of experience in similar roles within structured companies.
• Knowledge of Legislative Decree 152/2006 (T.U. A.).
• Knowledge of environmental certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 14021, ISO 14025, ISO 14064).

We are looking for a Regional Environmental Engineer to join Refel S.p.a., located in San Vito al Tagliamento (PN), overseeing all Italian plants. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Degree in environmental engineering (or equivalent)
• 2-3 years of experience in similar roles within structured companies
• Knowledge of Legislative Decree 152/2006 (T.U. A.)
• Knowledge of environmental certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 14021, ISO 14025, ISO 14064)
• Knowledge of Emission Trading (ETS)
• Fluency in English and Italian
• Excellent knowledge of Excel
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred
• Resident in Udine or Pordenone

Job Description

• Work with and assist the Quality and Environment Manager to ensure that daily operations related to environmental management at Italian plants are completed efficiently and in accordance with strategic plans
• Review compliance needs, input environmental declarations into legal systems, and carry out compliance activities including corrective and preventive actions
• Manage documentation related to environment, A.I.A., quality certifications, sustainability, waste management, emission trading, energy, and statistics
• Collect and review environmental data, sensor data, and other related information to support operational improvements
• Provide operational input on environmental activities to meet customer expectations and continuous improvement goals
• Support environmental impact assessments and reporting activities at the plants
• Take emergency actions and first measures during environmental emergencies based on corporate plans
• Assist with corrective actions and operational insights for performance improvement
• Participate in environmental continuous improvement projects led by the Quality Management & Continuous Improvement teams
