You will be a catalyst for change, shaping the future of workplace health while delivering real-time solutions that protect our people. You will serve as the site’s safety pioneer, coordinating the Global WHS Program, partnering with Operations leadership, and using data-driven insights to reduce risk and enhance productivity. You will lead a high-performing team of WHS professionals and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Lead safety leadership and innovation to transform safety culture, drive continuous improvement, and leverage technology and data analytics for preventive safety measures.
  • Develop leadership plans, set expectations, measure performance against WHS policies, conduct site audits, and address non-compliance.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to integrate safety into daily operations, influence strategic decisions through data analysis and risk insights, and oversee WHS training programs.
  • Oversee incident management and investigations, business reviews, staff development and training, safety assessments and compliance, emergency preparedness, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement through site inspections and implementation of safety initiatives across North American sites.
Travel & Work Environment

This position requires the flexibility to travel 50-70% of the time and work various shifts. Lift up to 49 pounds; stand / walk up to 12 hours; work in variable noise and temperatures; and climb / descend stairs where applicable.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations
  • 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management
  • Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Distribution Center or Manufacturing WHS experience with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people
  • Master’s degree
  • Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic organization
  • Certified Safety Professional
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders
  • Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability
