Job Description:

Enfinity Global is looking for a highly qualified Regional Development Manager to lead and manage the development of Photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects in specific regions of Italy. This intermediate position will act as a team leader, overseeing and coordinating the regional Project Developers to ensure projects progress efficiently through the development and permitting phases. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a strong understanding of the permitting process and proven team management skills.

The candidate should have deep knowledge of Permitting with a special focus on the Italian territory and at least 5 years experience. This person will lead a group of project developers within certain Regions of Italy coordinating and following up the full permitting process for PV and BESS projects in the specific regions of Italy, by interacting with external stakeholders such as municipalities, provinces, and regional authorities. Internally, the role involves coordinating across teams—engineering, legal, finance, and construction—to align on project requirements, timelines, and permit applications, ensuring smooth project delivery from development to execution.

Key responsibilities:

• Team Management & Hands-On Leadership: Lead the team of Project Developers assigned to the region, while directly participating in key aspects of project development. Provide guidance and support across all phases, from site identification to permit acquisition, while actively managing certain critical tasks alongside the team.
• Permitting Process Oversight & Participation: Oversee and personally engage in the permitting process for PV and BESS projects. This includes preparing and submitting permit applications, negotiating with municipalities, provinces, regional authorities, and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. Actively collaborate with public agencies to push permits forward and address any issues that arise.
• Regional Project Development: Oversee the full development lifecycle of regional projects, ensuring that timelines and budgets are met. While managing the team’s activities, take on direct responsibility for certain strategic negotiations and land acquisition processes with landowners to ensure successful project advancement.
• External Stakeholder Relations: Engage directly with external stakeholders, including grid operators, landowners, municipalities, provinces, and regional authorities, to ensure the necessary approvals and project advancement. Handle high-level negotiations and personally represent the company’s interests in critical discussions.
• Internal Coordination: Work hands-on with internal teams—engineering, finance, legal, and construction—to ensure alignment on technical, financial, and regulatory aspects of each project. Ensure smooth communication across departments to facilitate the development and permitting process.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Take a leading role in ensuring all projects comply with local, regional, and national regulations. Actively participate in risk mitigation strategies, providing solutions to regulatory or permitting challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report on the progress of all projects within the region, ensuring the team meets key performance indicators (KPIs) and deadlines. Provide detailed updates to the Head of Business Development, with a focus on both team and personal contributions to project advancement.
• Team Development & Mentorship: Actively mentor and support the professional growth of Project Developers, while working closely with them in the field. Provide ongoing feedback and training, helping team members develop their technical and project management skills.

Qualifications & experience:

• University Degree in Engineering preferred (MBA or Master’s degree in Energy Engineering is a plus).
• At least 5 years of experience as project developer in solar PV or Wind or BESS industry with a strong background in permitting in Italy.
• Knowledge of greenfield development dynamics.
• Strong organizational skills and diligence
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Results-oriented, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Ability to set, manage, and track multiple priorities and related details.
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Availability to travel for business.
• Italian (Professional), English (Fluent)
