About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Youth Programs.
This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 31st Force Support Squadron at Aviano AB, Italy.
Scheduled tour of duty will require evenings, weekends, and holiday work hours.
Duties
Performs and/or assists in operation and maintenance of sports activities and facilities.
Ensures all fields and sports venues meet safety requirements directed by FS/SE, Consumer Products Safety Commission.
Performs field maintenance and set-up includes dragging, mowing, lining and watering fields.
Recommends equipment for purchase to sustain and maintain safety standards.
Follows game and activity schedules, as well as the rules and regulations to be observed.
Types of duties includes accurately and timely filling out incident/accident reports, monitoring the practices and games, maintaining referee/umpire contractor logged timesheets, maintaining set up and clean up procedures according to policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
- This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
- This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain, maintain, and provide evidence of current immunizations this includes annual influenza vaccinations and be free of all communicable diseases.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or maintain a valid state Driver's License to operate vehicles.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screen and random testing thereafter.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special occasions.

Qualifying Experience:Must have experience which provided a working familiarity with the routines and procedures following in sports activities or programs: and practical knowledge and/or experience of sports equipment, rules and procedures which involve sports work in the area of specialty in which the position is assigned.
Must be physically able to walk, bend, stoop, stand on a routine basis; lift supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
