As part of its Embedded Systems Business Unit, TXT e-Tech is looking for an Avionic Software Engineer to support software certification activities for a safety-critical bootloader in aerospace applications, ensuring compliance with DO-178C requirements. The selected candidate will work alongside a team of experts in developing, verifying, and documenting software certification artifacts for embedded systems.
Main Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and verification of safety-critical embedded software for aerospace applications.
Assist in the preparation of DO-178C certification documentation (software development plans, verification plans, traceability matrices).
Develop and execute unit and integration tests for embedded software.
Support requirement analysis and coverage assessment for software certification.
Contribute to software verification through static and dynamic analysis.
Review and assess the impact of existing certification artifacts for potential reuse.
Requirements
Essential Technical Skills:
Basic understanding of real-time embedded software development.
Familiarity with embedded software architectures and low-level firmware.
Proficiency in at least one structured programming language (C, C++, or Python preferred).
Optional Technical Skills:
Experience with static analysis tools, unit testing frameworks, or debugging on embedded platforms.
Experience with x86/64-bit Intel TigerLake processor-based architectures.
Basic knowledge of Intel Boot Guard, Intel Firmware Support Package, Multiboot2 standard, Trusted Platform Module.
Familiarity with cryptographic concepts and embedded security.
Understanding of software version control tools (e.g., Git).
Familiarity with DO-178C principles and software certification standards.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Structured and detail-oriented approach.
Good written and spoken English for documentation and reporting.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Space Engineering, or other equivalent STEM disciplines.
