Explora Journeys is looking for a highly organized pricing professional to manage pricing configurations across reservation and distribution platforms. The role ensures accurate setup, maintenance and monitoring of commercial data while working with Revenue Management to support pricing integrity and efficiency.

This permanent position in Italy offers a €28,000–€35,000 gross annual salary (RAL), paid in 14 monthly installments, plus meal vouchers and welfare initiatives to enable data-driven

Job Purpose

Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss hospitality in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group’s hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six luxury ships (four currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travellers.

We are looking for a highly organized and systems-oriented professional to manage pricing configurations within complex reservation and distribution environments. The role is responsible for ensuring the accurate setup, maintenance and monitoring of commercial data, supporting business continuity, pricing integrity and operational efficiency while working closely with Revenue Management and other key stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead price loading activities across reservation and distribution systems, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and alignment with Revenue Management guidelines.
• Design and implement a scalable bulk pricing process using structured Excel, CSV or other automated/semi-automated solutions, with the objective of increasing the speed and volume of pricing changes.
• Develop robust pre-upload validation and post-upload reconciliation controls to ensure pricing data is correctly formatted, processed and reflected in the systems.
• Maintain pricing integrity by monitoring discrepancies, managing exceptions and quickly resolving failed or incorrect uploads.
• Work closely with Revenue Management, IT and other stakeholders to translate complex pricing strategies into reliable and scalable system execution processes.
• Support inventory management and maintain key control reports to ensure consistency across pricing, inventory and promotional data.
• Lead and coach the Rate & Distribution team, establishing clear procedures, quality standards and a strong culture of accuracy and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation of pricing processes, reducing manual activities and operational risk.

Qualifications (skills, competencies, experience)

• 1. You have strong systems aptitude and previous hands-on experience in IT-enabled, data-driven or system integration environments, ideally involving reservation, pricing, distribution or other complex transactional platforms.
• 2. You are comfortable working with large datasets and structured data files, including advanced Excel and CSV-based processes, and understand how data structure, formatting and field configuration can impact system outputs.
• 3. You have hands-on experience with coding, scripting, database queries or process automation. You do not necessarily need to be a software developer, but you must be able to use tools such as SQL, VBA, Python, Power Query or similar technologies to manipulate data, automate repetitive activities and perform validation checks.
• 4. You are able to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into simple, reliable and scalable operational processes, with the objective of progressively moving from manual price loading to automated or bulk-upload solutions.
• 5. You have experience designing or managing data validation and reconciliation processes, including pre-upload integrity checks and post-upload controls to ensure that large volumes of pricing or commercial data have been correctly processed by the target systems.
• 6. You have a very high level of accuracy, attention to detail and accountability. You understand that even a small data-formatting or configuration error can generate significant commercial or financial consequences, and you take full ownership of the quality of the data processed by the team.
• 7. You are highly structured, methodical and able to establish clear operating procedures, controls and quality standards for the team.
• 8. You have the ability to lead, coach and develop more junior team members, transferring systems knowledge, analytical thinking and a disciplined approach to data integrity and operational execution.
• 9. You have strong problem-solving skills and are comfortable investigating system or data discrepancies, identifying root causes and working with IT, Revenue Management and other stakeholders to implement sustainable solutions.
• 10. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are comfortable operating within a matrix organization and acting as a bridge between Revenue Management, business users and technical teams.
• 11. Previous experience in travel, hospitality, cruise, ferry or passenger transportation is an advantage, particularly where complex pricing, reservation or distribution systems are involved.

Contract

• - Type of contract: Permanent
• - Applicable Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL): "Addetti agli uffici ed ai terminals delle società di navigazione che esercitano l'armamento privato" - sez. personale di terra
• - Gross annual salary (RAL): between €28.000 - €35.000 gross per year, paid over 14 monthly installments
• - Meal vouchers: worth €8 per on-site working day
