Job Description:

RINA is recruiting for a Railways & Mass Transit - Mechanical Engineer to join its offices in Genoa, Rome, Naples, or Lecce, Italy within the Transport & Mobility Division.

Mission

This role focuses on ensuring the proper functioning and reliability of ventilation systems in tunnels and buildings for railway, metro, and road projects, adhering to current regulations and RINA's quality standards.

Key Accountabilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on ventilation and safety systems in rail and road tunnels and buildings.
• Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical faults and malfunctions.
• Oversee and participate in the design, installation, and upgrading of systems, ensuring proper sizing, configuration, and commissioning.
• Conduct periodic tests and inspections to meet safety and quality standards.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including maintenance reports and operational manuals.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as civil and system design, to ensure effective system integration.

Education

Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or General Engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience in railway/metro/tram/road infrastructure with focus on ventilation and safety systems.
• Knowledge of MEP ventilation and proficiency with design tools.
• Knowledge of drainage design and related tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with CMMS and diagnostic tools.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
