Job summary

Southern Illinois Healthcare is seeking a Radiation Therapist to provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by the physician. The role requires an associate degree in Radiologic Science and ARRT/IEMA/BLS certifications.

You will work closely with the Radiation Oncologist, physicist and support staff, preparing procedures, setting up patients in the EMR, and assisting with CT/Simulations and dosimetry as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Science required.
• ARRT, IEMA and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed and planned radiation treatment with accurate setup according to the EMR.
• Coordinate with Radiation Oncologist, physicist and staff; document in EMR.
• Assist CT/Simulations and dosimetry as needed.
• Support all department areas; secure and stock supplies.

Role Specific Responsibilities

• Deliver a prescribed and planned course of treatment accurately and efficiently, including accurate procedure preparation, and patient set-up according to the EMR
• Interface appropriately with the Radiation Oncologist, physicist, and all other support staff at the initiation of treatment, and as needed throughout a course of treatment documenting in the EMR all clinically relevant information.
• Assist with CT/Simulations and dosimetry functions as needed.
• Assist as needed in all areas of the department. Secure and stock supplies.
