Are you a technical professional interested in joining an elite team and learning the skills necessary to maintain one of the world's largest information system infrastructures? We are currently expanding our infrastructure team and are looking for a Rack Decommissioning Data Technician.

As part of the Rack Decom team, you will be responsible for processing and facilitating legacy Data Center equipment through a liquidation process to ensure that targeted equipment is ready to be removed from premises. You will also process large volumes of customer data to ensure that all customer data is sanitized and properly managed.

You will develop familiarity with basic PC components and hardware such as HDD, SSD, Flash, Removable storage media, RAM, CPU, Motherboard, and Input-Output devices.

You will be working in a team environment, collaborating with other team members and cross-functional teams, requiring effective communication and teamwork skills.

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS)

Key job responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest safety standards and promote a safety-first culture.
  • Decommissioning and processing of legacy hardware from data centers.
  • Handling hard drives, including installation, removal, and destruction.
  • Troubleshooting within internal SLAs.
  • Removal and installation of basic networking equipment and clearing configurations.
  • Interacting with third-party vendors and contractors.
  • Manual handling and lifting of equipment, adhering to weight regulations.
