Dallara is seeking a Racing Structural Performance Engineer to join the Racing Structural Performance team at Varano de' Melegari. You will conduct simulations and structural analyses for chassis, suspensions, mechanical parts and bodywork in support of racing programs.

The role focuses on stiffness, non-linearity, fatigue and vibratory phenomena, with collaboration across Design & Research, Vehicle Dynamics & Performance and Aerodynamics.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
• Previous experience in similar roles within motorsport is preferred.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Strong team-working skills.
• Flexibility and passion for automotive/motorsport/aerospace fields.
• Knowledge of HyperWorks, Abaqus and Python is a plus.

Today, the Dallara Group is made up of over 950 Dallara People and is one of the most important players in the design, development, and production of racing cars and hypercars. Dallara is the sole supplier for the following championships: IndyCar, IndyNXT, Formula 2, Formula 3, EuroFormula, Formula E, Super Formula, Super Formula Light, Euroformula Open, Eurocup-3, and A2RL. It also develops and manufactures some of the cars competing in the WEC and IMSA championships and provides consultancy in other series, including NASCAR and F1.

Since the early 2000s, the Dallara Group has offered specialized consulting and professional support to the world’s most prestigious automotive brands, primarily for the development of ultra-high-performance super sports cars.

On November 16, 2016, the Dallara Stradale- the first road car bearing the Dallara name- was unveiled. It embodies Engineer Dallara's lifelong dream and synthesizes nearly 50 years of innovation. This was followed by the Dallara EXP, a track-only version of the Stradale, representing the essence of racing spirit with extreme performance and FIA-level safety standards.

In recent years, the Dallara Group has also begun collaborating on the development of solutions for the aerospace sector.

The Role

As a Racing Structural Performance Engineer you will join the Racing Structural Performance team at Dallara Automobili, a company within the Dallara Group specializing in the design, pre-series production, and testing of products for the three business units: Racing, Automotive and Aerospace.

In this role, you will conduct simulations and structural analyses for key racing car components such as chassis, suspensions, mechanical parts, and bodywork. Specifically, you will address various aspects of these components from homologation and functionality perspectives, including stiffness, non-linearity, fatigue behavior, and vibratory phenomena.

Performance results from the seamless integration of multiple disciplines, and you will have the chance to collaborate with various areas within the Design & Research department and the Vehicle Dynamics & Performance and Aerodynamics departments.

What We Are Looking For

• Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.


• Previous experience in similar roles within the motorsport industry is preferred.


• Good knowledge of English.


• Strong team-working skills.


• Flexibility and a strong passion for the automotive/motorsport/aerospace fields.


• Knowledge of HyperWorks and Abaqus software and programming skills in Python are considered a plus.
