Alstom is seeking a Material Planning Manager in Vado Ligure to lead supply chain activities, collaborate with procurement, and ensure supplier readiness and performance. The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and international collaboration within a global mobility context.

Competenze

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier relationship management.
• Strong leadership, rigor, responsiveness, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in Italian with good English (B2).
• Willingness to travel (>50%).
• Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Lean manufacturing knowledge (5S, Value Stream Map).
• Proven track record in supplier assessment.

MATERIAL PLANNING MANAGER

As a Material Planning Manager you will be in charge in Supply Chain department with:

Location: (Italy- Vado Ligure)

Role Overview

You will report to the Supply Chain Director and work in a collaborative environment with hundreds of colleagues across Supply Chain, Procurement and Supplier Quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Establishing and coordinating appropriate action plans in the event of a major crisis.
• Collaborate with Procurement for risk/impact management process including supplier selection, escalation and delivery improvements by preventing crises and enhancing supplier delivery performance.
• Ensuring suppliers can meet Alstom's needs regarding technical capability and capacity vs. workload.
• Conducting audits to ensure compliance with processes and tools defined by the Central Supply Chain team, including Light and Capacity Assessment, Reporting on SharePoint and appropriated Dashboard.
• Facilitating root cause analyses and implementing sustainable corrective actions (Improvement and Safeguarding Plans).
• Strengthening cooperation between various functions (Purchasing, Quality, Supply Chain) to manage the least performing suppliers (TOP RED and RED).

About You

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier relationship management (in Procurement, Supply Chain or Quality).
• Strong leadership, rigor, responsiveness, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Language skills: Fluent in Italian with a good level of English (B2).
• Willingness to travel (>50%).
• Knowledge of an ERP system (ideally SAP).
• It would be a plus if you have: Understanding of lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, ability to perform a Value Stream Map).
• Proven track record in conducting supplier assessment independently.
• Yellow/Green Belt certification or similar.
• English speaker.
