Darwin Recruitment in Milano is seeking an R&D Systems Engineer to join an innovative team developing electro-optical technologies for next-generation communication applications.

The successful candidate will design, develop, and execute validation activities to characterize performance of high-speed electro-optical devices throughout the product development lifecycle, with hands-on test methodologies and risk assessment.

Competenze

• Master's degree in a related field is required.
• 3–8 years in telecom system validation or R&D testing.
• Strong grasp of digital telecom architectures and system-level testing.
• Hands-on with lab equipment such as VNA, high-speed scopes, BERT, spectrum analyzers.
• Experience with Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB or similar for test automation and data analysis.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel.

Mansioni

• Develop and execute test plans to verify functionality and interoperability.
• Define system-level validation strategies for high-speed products.
• Design test methodologies to evaluate performance under realistic conditions.
• Build lab environments representative of end-user applications.
• Evaluate performance before and after integration into platforms.
• Analyze results, identify limitations, and perform root-cause investigations.
• Develop automated test procedures to improve repeatability and data quality.
• Produce technical documentation of methodologies and results.
• Support field issue investigations by reproducing customer environments.
