Job summary

BVI Medical is seeking an R&D Software Engineer to design, maintain and develop software for ophthalmic surgical devices. You will drive software development throughout the lifecycle, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and IEC 62304, while collaborating with Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams.

Requirements include a degree in Informatics/Engineering, 3+ years in medical devices, and proficiency in C++, C#, Qt, WPF, and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 3 years in medical device industry or equivalent.
• Proficiency in C++, C#, Qt, WPF, Python.
• Experience with Linux/Windows; Qt Creator, Visual Studio, Yocto preferred.
• Knowledge of ISTQB and regulatory standards (ISO 13485, IEC 62304).
• Experience in firmware development for electronic devices.

Responsibilities

• Drive product development across all software lifecycle stages.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and legislative requirements.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Technical Transfer, Manufacturing, and other teams.
