Dematic is seeking a talented Senior Controls Software Development Engineer for a permanent position at its premises in Cernusco sul Naviglio (MI), Italy. The candidate will work within an international Mechatronic and Controls team in the R&D office to develop products for the supply chain sector.

The employee will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Controls Software for SC3 (Dematic Crossbelt sorter), following the R&D roadmap defined by product management.

Tasks and Qualifications:

The Senior Controls Software Development Engineer will:

• Maintain the crossbelt sorter control software solution
• Implement new control software functionalities as defined in the product roadmap
• Support commissioning teams in deployment
• Develop machine safety features according to global and local regulations
• Develop and maintain HMI applications
• Maintain and update configuration and utility tools
• Integrate software and configuration documentation

Required Skills:

• Programming skills at a development level
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages
• Problem-solving attitude
• Knowledge of C#, VB, VB.Net
• Experience with Linux OS
• Basic knowledge of industrial Ethernet (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, etc.) and fieldbus (Profibus)
• Proficiency in Italian and English
• Availability for short travels (up to 20%)
