R&D Researcher - Application & Formulation Lab

What will you do?

As an R&D Researcher in our Application & Formulation Lab, you will:

• design and execute application tests to evaluate the performance vs. existing molecules/benchmarks of new or optimized molecules designed by the R&D Synthesis team;
• proactively cooperate with the team to implement new testing methods, develop and optimize formulations for energy - cured applications (inks and industrial coatings), combining photoactive molecules, resins, and additives;
• support the Technical Service & Business Development teams by investigating photoinitiator packages and validating finished goods and intermediates;
• collaborate in cross-functional teams and engage with internal and external stakeholders to scale up new products and validate finished goods;
• continuously seek improvements in processes, products, and testing methodologies.

Who are you?

You're a chemist, an industrial chemistry or a materials scientist, and you've got:

• at least 4 or 5 years of experience in UV-curable product formulation, printing, or industrial coatings;
• proven expertise with UV technologies and lab equipment (UV-VI, FT-IR, DMA, Viscometer, Rheometer);
• strong knowledge on photo-chemistry and/or material science;
• a methodical data driven mindset with passion for continuous improvement;
• proactivity, curiosity, and creativity, with a strong sense of ownership;
• excellent communication and reporting skills both in italian and english.
• a collaborative and customer-oriented approach, with the ability to translate technical needs into technical product performances through actionable testing plans;
• good team membership, but also capability to work autonomously on the assigned projects.
