Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a motivated R&D Mechanical Engineer to contribute to innovative solutions in our R&D department. The candidate will design and develop drawing packages for assemblies, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and optimize design processes to shorten development times.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering, proficiency in CAD (Inventor preferred) and experience with FEA, automation, and robotics. English proficiency and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience developing drawing packages for assemblies in line with manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in CAD systems, especially Autodesk Inventor.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools.
• Strong English written and spoken.
• Solid teamwork and communication skills.
• Knowledge of vacuum equipment and PVD processes and regulations.
• Experience in automation and robotics.
• Familiarity with Creo and SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of SAP and Windchill PLM.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Development of technical drawing packages for assemblies, in compliance with manufacturing flows and production specifications.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams for product design, prototyping, and testing.
• Analysis and identification of underlying principles to optimize design processes and reduce development time.
• Assess client needs through active listening and translate into concrete technical solutions.
