R&D - Junior Chemist

Role Summary

Job Description

He/she will support the activities associated to the development projects in identifying, developing, introducing and evaluating new and enhancing existing membrane solutions technologies. The job incumbent will be involved in research activities finalized to the characterization of membrane and module performances in compliance with the technical standards and customer specifications as well as the project deadlines and resources.

Main Tasks

1. Ensuring that research and design methodologies meet established scientific and engineering standards
2. Assisting with formulating business plans and budgets for product development
3. Analyzing quality/safety test results to ensure compliance with internal and external standards
4. Keeping abreast of new developments in the industry and translating those developments into new and viable options for the organization and customers
5. Organizing technical presentations to customers and/or industry groups
6. Monitoring product development outcomes to ensure technical, functional, cost, and timing targets are met

Your Profile

1. University degree as bachelor or master in chemistry or polymeric materials
2. Apprenticeship as chemical lab technician preferred
3. 0 – 3 yrs of relevant work experience as chemist or in polymeric materials
4. Know-how in membrane flat sheet development, fabrication and testing is considered a plus
5. Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken)
6. High communication skills, written and verbal to effectively address all levels
7. Openness and ability to work in teams
8. Willingness to take risks and fail fast (and execute resulting lessons learned)
9. IT experience (MS Office)
