Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Firmware Engineer for its R&D team in Cernusco sul Naviglio, Italy. You will design, implement and sustain embedded firmware, following cybersecurity requirements and collaborating with commissioning and manufacturing departments.

The role requires a degree in electronics/automation, C programming, and experience with USB/UART/SPI/I2C. Strong Italian and English skills are essential for daily collaboration in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master in electronics or automation engineering.
• Experience writing embedded firmware in C and bare-metal systems.
• Experience with USB, UART, SPI, I2C bus protocols.
• Ability to debug HW and FW with a wide range of tools.
• Proficiency in Italian and English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, architecture, design and debug electronics boards.
• Collect and analyze functional/technical requirements.
• Develop technical documentation per standards.
• Support hardware definition for series production.

The Firmware engineer will be responsible for the architecture, design and development including sustain the lifecycle of Embedded products.
