As an R&D Engineer, you’ll not only contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge switchgear solutions—you’ll also take ownership of project execution, ensuring timely, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Innovate for Impact: Contribute to international R&D projects focused on GIS, AIS, and Hybrid switchgear. Design and industrialize innovative, eco-efficient solutions that meet evolving market needs.
  • Lead Projects: Manage small to mid-scale R&D and product improvement projects, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Drive Product Excellence: Perform advanced product development and data management tasks, supporting both new developments and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support Global Operations: Provide technical support to business units and customers, ensuring timely updates to products and processes across the global network.
  • Collaborate & Grow: Work closely with international teams and suppliers. Build a strong professional network to support ongoing innovation and project success.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar)
  • Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling (PTC Creo or similar preferred)
  • Familiarity with PLM systems (preferably PTC Windchill)
  • Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and a passion for solving multidisciplinary challenges
  • Experience in the electromechanical industry is a plus
  • Fluent in English; Italian is a strong plus
  • Experience or interest in project management, with the ability to coordinate tasks, timelines, and stakeholders effectively
