A vital organ therapy company is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Engineer in Italy to conduct HW component verification and ensure compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical/Electronic or Biomedical Engineering and 1-3 years of relevant experience. Key responsibilities include managing verification activities, conducting feasibility assessments, and collaborating with external partners. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Summary

Electrical/Electronic testing execution for HW component verification and for standard compliance of medical devices in adherence to electrical safety requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Electrical/Electronic verification activities in change management process and in project teams, with test protocols definition, execution, and documental reporting for HW components, in compliance with quality procedures and design control process.
• Assessments of compliance for medical electrical equipment to IEC safety standards and other applicable regulations, including test execution on site and in cooperation with external certified partners.
• Feasibility assessments to evaluate the technical impact of electrical/electronic component changes inside the system/subsystem in which the component is used, through theoretical engineering analysis and/or testing execution in HW Laboratory
• Management of electronic instruments, interacting directly with external testing houses and laboratories, or with internal dedicated function.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of theories/practices used in Electrical/Electronic Engineering activities for product development, including practical expertise in the usage of related laboratory instruments
• Knowledge of international standards for medical devices and of testing methodologies for electrical safety compliance assessments
• Capability to effectively operate in cross-functional and cross-sites global/international teams, with solid teamwork approach, problem solving attitude and ability to organize and prioritize tasks
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with capability to understand stakeholder needs and being able to tailor communications appropriately for intended audience; English is the standard language used for all written formal documentation.

Education and/or experience
Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Biomedical Engineering degree (or equivalent in a technical/scientific field) and minimum 1-3 years of related working experience.
