Job summary

Fiamm's R&D Department in Montecchio Maggiore (VI) seeks an R&D Chemical Test Engineer for a maternity leave contract. You will plan and carry out chemical tests on products, and report results to the laboratory manager.

You will actively participate in technical study groups to improve processes and products, and prepare prototypes and test reports. The role requires a chemistry or related engineering degree, 2–3 years lab experience, and English at B1 level; Excel and C++ are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in chemistry or related engineering.
• 2–3 years laboratory experience preferred.
• B1 English (written and spoken) and proficiency with Office/Excel; C++ is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

For the R&D Department of the Headquarter of Montecchio Maggiore (VI) we are looking for a:

R&D Chemical Test Engineer (Maternity Leave)

The person, reporting to the R&D Labs Manager, will manage the following activities:

• Plan and independently carry out chemical tests on products following the directives of the supervisor
• Report on the management and on the results obtained of the same to the laboratory manager
• Actively participate in technical study groups for the improvement of the Company's processes and products
• Prepare and update the reports of the tests performed
• Prepare prototypes.

The Test engineer is responsible for carrying out tests, preparing reports and contributing to the process and product improvement.”

Requirements of the position:

• Bachelor/Master degree in chemistry or industrial chemistry, electrical/electronics/energetic/chemistry engineering
• Medium-level license above technical address. Experienced chemical, mechanical or electrical expert (in order of preference).

Requirements of the person:

• Previous experience (2/3 years) in Laboratory is preferred
• B1 English written and spoken
• Office, Excel. Programming C ++ is a plus
• Availability to travel to the other FET sites.

Workplace: Montecchio Maggiore (VI).

Indicative annual gross salary: €30,000–€36,000, depending on the candidate’s experience.

The contract will be a 12 months contract of maternity leave.
