QSENSATO s.r.l. in Bari, Italy, is seeking an Atomic Physicist to join the technology team. You will rapidly prototype laser-written vapor cells (LWVCs) and atomic-photonic chips, collaborating with a Prototyping Manager and an R&D Scientist to push performance.

The role requires a PhD or postdoc in experimental atomic physics, strong experimental and theoretical background, and experience with vapor cells, spectroscopy, and magneto-optical setups. English required; Italian an asset.

Competenze

• PhD or postdoc in experimental atomic physics required.
• English full professional proficiency; Italian an asset.
• Experience with miniaturized vapor cells and atomic quantum sensors is advantageous.

Mansioni

• Model and simulate atomic physics problems for quantum sensing and metrology applications
• Design and operate a vacuum/pressure system for filling and sealing all-glass vapor cells
• Perform hands-on fabrication and integration of all-glass atomic photonic-chips
• Guide the prototyping team with the design of vapor cells and atomic-photonic chips
• Interact with early customers and researchers to solve atomic physics problems collaboratively
• Develop absorption spectroscopy and magneto-optical testing setups
• Support scale-up of testing for performance evaluation
• Contribute to IP portfolio through patent filings
• Contribute to scientific publications using QSENSATO's technology
