Poutrix is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager in Milan. The ideal candidate will have around 5 years of experience in cost management within engineering or construction. Responsibilities include preparing cost estimates and analyses for various construction projects.

Applicants should possess a degree in civil engineering or related fields and be fluent in English and Italian (B2). Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit/BIM is essential for this role.

Role Description

As a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager, you have gained professional experience in cost management for engineering and construction projects, ideally within construction firms or engineering design and consultancy firms.

You will have the opportunity to join the Cost Management team at Arcadis Italia, working alongside colleagues with different specialisms and levels of seniority, using specialist industry software in an international environment.

Role Accountabilities

• Prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates;
• Carry out preliminary cost estimates for various types of buildings and civil engineering works;
• Prepare reports and cost analyses for construction projects;
• Carry out economic and feasibility calculations for construction projects;
• Extract information and process data from databases.

Qualifications & Experience

• Around 5 years of previous professional experience in cost estimation and control, gained through work experience and/or specialist study;
• A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or Architecture, or a diploma from a technical college;
• An excellent level of English and Italian (B2);
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD for measurement and quantity take-off;
• Knowledge of Revit/BIM methodology;
• A good understanding of technical architecture, construction techniques and planning permission procedures;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and an aptitude for teamwork;
• Goal‑oriented;
• Experience in cost management, particularly in the logistics, data centre, residential and hospitality sectors.
