Job summary

MDOTM Milan is seeking a Quantitative Data Scientist to bridge quantitative modeling and real-world investment applications. You will translate business needs into technical solutions, ensuring investment strategies are robust, scalable, and aligned with client expectations.

You will collaborate with ML researchers, design and prototype models in Python and Java, and contribute to model validation. The role offers ownership, learning, and fast-track leadership within an international team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Strong Python/Java programming with financial modeling and ML workflows.
• Experience backtesting, stress-testing, scenario analysis; validate models.

Responsibilities

• Critically evaluate ML outputs for alignment with finance theory and market dynamics.
• Translate research signals into investment strategies and portfolio construction.
• Collaborate with ML researchers to refine models with financial domain expertise.
• Design, prototype, and scale quantitative models using Python and Java.
• Develop and maintain test frameworks for model validation and improvement.
• Bridge investment objectives with algorithmic execution across production workflows.
