Quality Reliability Engineer (10748)

Job Description

Datalogic is offering a Quality Reliability Engineer role, reporting to the Quality Reliability Manager. He/She will collaborate with the Global Quality area.

Role Mission:

The Quality Reliability Engineer is responsible for supporting engineers and development activities by defining test plans, issuing reliability documentation (also in accordance with company ISO9001 certification) and performing test and checkout of products and systems, experimental circuitry, prototype models, and specialized test equipment. He/She follows up on reliability topics related to new product development, component validation, and failures from the field.

The Quality Reliability Engineer works from diagrams, verbal instructions, layouts, product standards, or test plans to perform testing, troubleshooting, and other research and development tasks. Organizes and maintains the lab. Establishes experimental setups to test prototypes. Carries out reporting and documentation works such as ECO reviews, Product Standards reviews, NPD documents, product inspections, and problem solving.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Issue Reliability/EMC test plans to support FRS new products development;
2. Support development department to guarantee compliance with applicable standards and to define test plans also at Alpha stage;
3. Attend regular Core Team Meetings and Technical Meetings (when necessary) to support new FRS products development;
4. Prepare documentation needed for NPD stages;
5. Issue test plans also for component validations;
6. Perform tests and issue test reports when needed;
7. Cooperate into Field Failures investigation, especially for FRS (this includes Data Repair analysis and Failure Distribution analysis, failed units analysis, feedback to R&D etc…);
8. Carry out ECO (Engineering Change Order) review for FRS;
9. Attend Problem Communication Meetings or Quality Briefings as Reliability representative;
10. Develop Specialty Test & Execution especially for NPD projects by early identifying new equipment, tools, or processes to be implemented;
11. Execute Product Inspections;
12. Support lab maintenance and the generation of the budget for lab maintenance and development;
13. Continuously improve test plan and lab equipment based on test experience, field failures, new product features.

Requirements:

1. Education: High school degree in technical field or Electronic engineering degree;
2. Languages: Italian, Good English;
3. Experience: 2-5 years in Product Quality or R&D as technical for technological products.

Other Information & Specific Skills:

1. Knowledge of test methodology and laboratory instrumentation for carrying out tests;
2. Capability to work under pressure;
3. Availability to make some National or International trips (occasionally).
