Sonoco in Aprilia (Centre of Italy) seeks a Quality Product and Process Engineer to support the Quality Manager in ensuring product conformity and process capability from definition to start of series production.

You will drive quality improvements, review customer requirements, ensure food-contact compliance, and manage supplier quality while promoting autonomy and safety in daily work.

Competenze

• Technical degree and 3/5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of quality tools and strong problem-solving skills.
• Well organised, autonomous, results-oriented and safety-conscious.
• Excellent communication; fluent in English in addition to Italian.

Mansioni

• Define the quality control plans for lithographic production processes and verify their compliance.
• Manage quality problems detected in production through NCR analysis and coordinate corrective actions.
• Regularly check the process capability index (Cpk) and drive improvement actions.
• Review customer requirements and define correct characteristics for new items.
• Define qualification protocols for new products and materials (specifications, control and test plans).
• Monitor and ensure conformity with food-contact regulations.
• Manage supplier quality assurance.

We currently have a vacancy for a Quality Product and Process Engineer in our factory in Aprilia (Centre of Italy), reporting directly to the Quality Manager.

Aprilia Plant is specialized in metal closures mainly for tomato, pickles, sauce & condiments.

In support to the Quality Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the conformity of semi-finished and finished products through analysis and continuous improvement of the lithographic processes capability and the compliance with legal requirements, from the initial definition phase up to the start of series production.

In particular, he/she will be responsible for:

• define the Quality control plans of the lithographic production processes and verify their compliance and correct application
• ensure the management of quality problems detected in production through the analysis of the Non Conformities detected and the coordination of the Corrective Actions required to avoid the recurrence of the problem
• regularly check the process capability index (Cpk), promoting the necessary improvement actions
• review customer's requirements and define the correct characteristics for the new item
• define the qualification protocol for new products and new materials (managing specifications, control and test plan)
• monitor and ensure the conformity of the product and its components with respect to the legal requirements regarding suitability for the food contact
• manage supplier quality assurance

Job Requirements

For this role we expect you to have a Technical Degree (preferably in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry) and a minimum of 3/5 years of experience acquired in a manufacturing environment. Good knowledge of Quality tools and good problem-solving skills. Well organised, you are able to work effectively with autonomy and you are result-oriented and respectful of rules and safety . You communicate well and besides Italian, you are fluent in English.
