As the Quality part responsible within the Silk-FAW Automotive Quality Body team, you will be responsible for Quality for the Exterior and/or Interior components assigned.
As part of the Quality Body team, you will play a very important role inside the Q team and between the Q Body team and the rest of the company departments. You will be part of this working group, collaborating with various persons and leading the activities of Q to achieve the department's defined goals.
The individual tasks will include:
- Having technical experience related to the following materials: BiW body panels (Aluminum, steel), plastics, injection moulding and co-moulding technology, carbon fiber lamination, glass, sealing.
- Managing perceived quality aspects, painting activities, and color harmonization (internally and/or with external suppliers).
- Being responsible for the Q target during the development phase of the project; driving development to meet Q targets (from engineering, technical solutions, technology, to suppliers), using KPI reporting until the SOP of the product.
- Applying problem-solving approaches for Q issues of parts (e.g., aesthetic defects, dimensional problems, assembly issues) and proposing optimizations internally or at the supplier process.
- Involving in warranty data analysis and technical problem resolution in the field.
- Analyzing and understanding technical requirements, technical drawings, and tolerances.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of materials and primary Q processes.
- Familiarity with processes like D-FMEA and P-FMEA, tolerance chain analysis, capability analysis, Meisterbock/cubing activities.
- General knowledge of technologies such as anodizing, bending, hydroforming, machining, ultrasonic/vibrating welding.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, along with social and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for the automotive industry and/or technology is desirable but not essential.
- Highly motivated, proactive, self-organized, and able to work independently.
- Methodical with attention to detail, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required.
