A leading consultancy in sustainable packaging solutions is seeking a Quality Manager for an 8-month contract in Lucca, Italy. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality management on large construction projects and be fluent in English and Italian. Responsibilities include developing quality management plans and ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations. This role requires being site-based in Lucca.

Overview

Quality Manager - Italy, Lucca - 8 Months Initial Contract

QCS are partnered with a leading international packaging company and supporting them with staffing solutions across their CAPEX projects in EMEA. As an organisation, our client is redefining packaging for a changing world and plan to become the leading supplier of sustainable packaging solutions. We are looking for a Quality Manager on an initial 8-month contract (with likely extension to 12 months) for our client’s project based in Lucca.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project-specific Quality Management Plan
• Monitor and audit construction and installation works to ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve quality issues
• Conduct inspections and testing of mechanical and electrical systems
• Maintain detailed records of quality assurance activities and produce regular reports
• Support commissioning and handover processes with a focus on quality compliance

Requirements

• Fluency in English & Italian as well as significant experience on Italian construction projects
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in quality management on large industrial or manufacturing construction projects
• Familiarity with European construction standards and regulations
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Willingness to be site-based in Lucca for the duration of the project
