EssilorLuxottica in Italy invites applications for a Quality Laboratory Engineer to support planning, execution and continuous improvement of lab testing. You’ll collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Product Development and Prototyping to ensure reliable results and robust methods.

The role emphasizes precision, a learning mindset, and the use of digital tools like Power BI and Python, with exposure to ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. English and Italian communication are important.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or another relevant technical discipline.
• Up to 4 years of experience in a laboratory, quality, testing, product engineering or comparable technical environment.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to understand test methods, technical specifications and measurement results.
• Hands-on aptitude, precision and attention to detail when working with samples, instruments and laboratory equipment.
• Structured problem-solving skills and the ability to draw evidence-based conclusions from experimental data.
• Good command of Excel or equivalent data-analysis tools. Exposure to Power BI, Python, SQL, MATLAB or similar tools is an advantage, but mastery is not required at entry.
• Broad technical curiosity and a proactive learning attitude, with interest in connecting product, process, measurement and data topics.
• Ability to organize assigned activities, document work accurately and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Good written and spoken English; ability to communicate technical findings clearly in Italian and English.
• Good knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025.

Mansioni

• Plan, coordinate and execute mechanical, optical and functional testing activities; manage validation requests and testing projects from initiation to completion.
• Analyze and interpret test results, identify anomalies and support root cause investigations.
• Prepare technical reports, test documentation and management summaries; communicate results, risks and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Learn existing laboratory methods and contribute to improving test repeatability, efficiency and documentation.
• Process, interpret and present test data in a clear, traceable way; highlight conclusions and limitations.
• Support root-cause analysis through structured experiments and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ensure safe operation, calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment; support ISO/IEC 17025 compliance.
• Develop dashboards or analysis workflows using tools like Power BI or Python.
