TECNORD SRL, based in Modena, Italy, seeks a motivated Quality Engineer to join the Quality team and advance the QMS, product quality, and manufacturing processes. The role collaborates with Operations, Engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with internal standards and international regulations.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Management Engineering or equivalent technical background.
• Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis, FMEA and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and KPIs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; willingness to travel occasionally.

At Tecnord, quality is a key driver of innovation, operational excellence and customer satisfaction. We are looking for a motivated Quality Engineer to join our Quality team and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and manufacturing processes.

The Role

The Quality Engineer will support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System, ensuring that products and manufacturing processes meet internal standards, customer requirements and international quality regulations.

Working closely with Operations, Engineering and other cross-functional teams, the role combines process improvement, project management and audit activities to strengthen operational performance and promote a quality-driven culture throughout the organization.

Reports to: Quality Director

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System

• Support the development and implementation of quality standards, procedures and control systems.
• Contribute to maintaining and improving the Quality Management System.

Process Improvement

• Analyze quality data and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support cross-functional continuous improvement projects and process optimization initiatives.

Audits & Compliance

• Plan and perform internal process and system audits.
• Support customer audits and contribute to the implementation of corrective actions.

Quality Assurance

• Monitor quality performance and prepare reports for management.
• Support root cause analysis and verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.

Customer Quality Support

• Support customer quality activities during plant visits and audits.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams during APQP and product validation activities.
• Prepare quality documentation and certificates of conformity when required.

Your Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Management Engineering (or equivalent technical background).
• Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis, FMEA and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and KPIs.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Availability for occasional business travel.

It is considered a plus

• Previous experience in Quality Engineering or Process Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and internal auditing methodologies.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, 8D or Lean Manufacturing tools.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI).
