Zusammenfassung

Dayco is seeking a Quality Engineer at our Chieti plant to strengthen customer relationships through product quality oversight. You will work under the Plant Quality Manager and interact with customers and internal teams to drive quality improvements.

You will support complaint handling, root-cause analyses, and the implementation of corrective actions. The role offers growth toward greater autonomy with exposure to PPAP and IATF-based audits.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials or Chemical).
• Recent graduates or up to 2 years of experience, preferably in quality or automotive.
• Basic knowledge of the main quality tools.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Second-party auditor qualification (IATF 16949) and knowledge of Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA) preferred; training path supported by company.

Aufgaben

• Support customer complaint management: share issues with the working group, participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions, verify effectiveness in the field.
• Prepare reasoned responses and analysis reports to send to customers.
• Monitor implementation and update action plans from complaints, customer visits and audits.
• Process statistical data on external non-quality costs (PPM, IPB, sorting costs, claims statistics, etc.).
• Support the Quality Manager in defining production controls for finished and semi-finished products and materials.
• Participate in PPAP management during project development, preparing documentation per customer requirements and using customer portals.
• Assist colleagues in managing customer visits and audits (system, VDA, IATF) and implementing related action plans.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects to improve corporate indicators per group guidelines.

About the role

For our plant, we are looking for a Quality Engineer who will contribute to developing and strengthening customer relationships on all aspects related to product quality.

You will join a well-structured team, supported by experienced colleagues and the Plant Quality Manager, with a gradual path toward greater autonomy. This role is a key point of contact between the customer and our internal organization and a great opportunity to build strong skills in quality.

What you will do

• As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Basic knowledge of the main quality tools
• Good knowledge of English
• Second-party auditor qualification (IATF 16949) and knowledge of the main Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA) are preferred; the company will support the training path.
