The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in quality control, strong computer skills, and the ability to lead a team. Responsibilities include managing quality inspections, developing training plans, and preparing KPI reports. Fluency in English is required.

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Quality Control Team Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples - IT.

Responsibilities
  • Establishing, planning, and coordinating pool of quality inspectors according to the quality planning activity.
  • Responsible for people engagement, verifying performance reviews, identifying development needs, developing training plans and performing trainings to the QC team.
  • In charge of monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports, to monitor quality process capability and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Responsible for managing the local QC internal team of a specific production unit, including supervision of quality inspections, check/review of check outcomes, and the development of QC improvement activities.
  • Oversees quality inspections records using company-specific software and tools. Manage the Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs) process to track and address quality issues found during inspections.
  • Be the main point of reference for Manufacturing assembly unit, Supply Chain Management, Suppliers Quality Management, Engineering department, ensuring timely execution of incoming materials control activities and sharing of inspections results.
Required Skills/Knowledge
  • Previous consolidated experience in a similar job role (at least 3 years).
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, Engineering, SAP system, and Company internal repository.
  • Experience in quality documentation management, including Manufacturing Inspection Plans (MIPs) and Declaration of Conformity forms.
  • Knowledge of the main special processes (any special process qualifications will be considered as a preference).
  • Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing specifications, and of International standards, through welding process standards specification.
  • Knowledge of technical drawings, dimensional and geometric tolerance standards, and practice of measurement tools.
  • Proven experience in pool coordination leadership of production processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, good communication, flexibility, proactive approach, and team-working orientation.
Education/Qualifications

High-school graduate or equivalent technical background.

Languages

Fluent knowledge of English (written & spoken).
