Reporting Line

This position reports to the Quality Manager.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will assist the local unit in developing capabilities to effectively control products and systems. You will ensure compliance with internal, customer, and industry requirements within a cost-effective and safe environment. You will participate in developing and implementing standards and test methods to ensure only compliant products, software, and services are released. The work model is: #LI-onsite. This role contributes to the Electrification Services division in North America and is mainly responsible for:

1. Creating quality inspection plans and conducting inspections to meet product and customer expectations.
2. Reviewing customer contracts to ensure quality requirements are met and issuing certificates of conformance.
3. Coordinating Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) or Inspection Test Plans (ITP).
4. Supporting quality control activities across supplier quality, production, testing, validation, and engineering.
5. Reporting quality issues and escalating non-conformance cases to the Quality Manager.
6. Collaborating with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field, with at least 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Control tools and problem-solving methodologies.
• Lead auditor certification is desirable; Internal Auditor ISO 9001:2015 certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of 10CFR Part 50 Appendix B is a plus.
• This role does not include relocation assistance.
• Candidates must already have work authorization to work in the US for ABB.
