A leading pharmaceutical company is seeking a Quality Control analyst in Origgio, Italy. The role involves performing microbiological analyses, managing culture media, and contributing to laboratory instrument calibration. A Bachelor's degree in relevant fields is required, alongside skills in laboratory operations and English proficiency. The ideal candidate may have prior experience in quality control and should possess a driving license.

  • Experience as a junior microbiological quality control analyst is preferred.
  • Driving license and own vehicle are preferred.

About the job

Within the Quality Control function, based in the laboratory, the analyst will support the Microbiological Laboratory Manager in performing process control activities to support the manufacturing of solid and liquid forms.

Activities

  • Perform qualitative and quantitative microbiological analyses of raw materials and finished products as per analytical procedures, ensuring compliance and promptly reporting out-of-specification results to the Laboratory Manager.
  • Assist in managing and preparing culture media.
  • Conduct sampling and microbiological analysis of process water.
  • Perform environmental controls.
  • Record results in dedicated logs and input data into the Manufacturing System.
  • Contribute to the qualification and calibration activities of laboratory instruments.

Specific skills

  • Knowledge of laboratory instrument principles and operation.
  • Data processing, recording, and archiving skills.
  • Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation.
  • Good command of English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Industrial Biotechnology, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
