Job summary

Cummins Inc. in the Milan area invites a Quality Placement Student for a 12-month placement at our European Quality team within the Distribution Business Unit. You will gain hands-on experience in quality management, supplier coordination, and continuous improvement while collaborating with Italian and European teams.

The role requires strong communication, analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; Italian native speakers with good English communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Engineering or related.
• Interest in quality management, operations, supply chain or continuous improvement.
• Previous internship or project experience is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support investigation and resolution of customer complaints and quality issues with suppliers and internal teams.
• Coordinate with suppliers and logistics on return and analysis of non-conforming components.
• Assist in maintaining QMS documentation and ISO 9001 compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor quality performance and resolve issues.
• Analyze quality data and prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Develop and maintain quality reporting tools and SharePoint resources.
• Take ownership of an improvement project during the placement.
