NTT DATA Romania is seeking a highly engaged Quality Assurance Engineer with German to join a large-scale telecommunications project. The role focuses on validating legacy applications as they transform into modern, scalable web interfaces, delivering seamless user experiences for millions of customers.

You will support end-to-end testing of applications and ensure quality across the entire flow, from UI and API interactions through to database validation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Experience with UI and REST API test automation is essential.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and QA processes.
• Experience with Jira and Xray for test management.
• Good understanding of BDD concepts and Gherkin syntax is advantageous.
• Fluent German is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright or Cypress is required.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and maintain automated end-to-end test scenarios for web applications.
• Perform automated testing across UI and API layers.
• Validate application behavior across the complete flow: UI/API → application/backend → database.
• Compare expected vs. actual results at database level.
• Validate the outcome of transactions and API calls directly in the database.
• Investigate defects and perform troubleshooting across UI, API and database layers.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures and document defects.
• Collaborate with developers and other project stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

We’re looking for a highly engaged Quality Assurance Engineer with German to join one of our projects within a large‑scale telecommunications environment. The project aims to validate and ensure the quality of legacy applications as they are transformed into modern, scalable, and user‑centric web interfaces, delivering seamless digital experiences for millions of customers. This role offers the opportunity to work on a modern and technically complex project, where quality plays a key role in ensuring reliable and high‑performing solutions at scale. You will support the end‑to‑end testing of applications and ensure quality across the entire application flow, from UI and API interactions through to database validation. The role requires strong test automation experience, ideally with Playwright.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, develop and maintain automated end-to-end test scenarios for web applications.
• Perform automated testing across UI and API layers.
• Validate application behavior across the complete flow: UI/API → application/backend → database.
• Compare expected vs. actual results at database level.

What You’ll Bring Along

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field
• Hands‑on experience developing and maintaining UI and REST API test automation using Playwright or Cypress
• Experience in manual software testing, preferably within Agile environments (e.g., Scrum)
• Solid knowledge of testing methodologies, test management, and QA documentation
• Experience working with test management tools such as Jira and Xray
• Experience writing and maintaining test specifications using Gherkin syntax
• Understanding of BDD concepts (hands‑on experience with Cucumber is a plus, not mandatory)
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is an advantage
• Fluent German is mandatory
