Hitachi Rail is seeking a Quality Coordinator in Pistoia, Italy, capable of managing quality inspections and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience and a strong knowledge of engineering specifications and quality documentation.

  • Knowledge of welding processes and quality standards.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Quality Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks, from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pistoia, IT.

Accountabilities
  • Coordinate a pool of quality inspectors according to the quality planning activity and costs.
  • Manage NCRs process for tracking and managing quality issues arising from inspections.
  • Provide KPI monthly reports to monitor process capability and define corrective actions.
  • Ensure conformity of assembled products up to the final quality gate.
Required Skills / Knowledge
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role or pool coordination.
  • Knowledge of structural welding processes; special process qualifications are a plus.
  • Understanding of engineering and manufacturing specifications, including international standards and welding process standards.
  • Experience as a team leader coordinating production processes to ensure welding and machined parts compliance.
  • Knowledge of quality documentation (MIPs, declaration of conformity, qualification evidences, etc.).
  • Familiarity with mechanical drawings, dimensional and geometric tolerances, and measurement tools.
Education / Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent technical background.

Languages

Fluent in English (written & spoken).
