Position: Quality Control Microbiological Lab Coordinator

Location: IFFCO ITALIA, Marcianise (CE)
Responsibilities:
- Ensure, in accordance with company procedures, the proper execution of quality control activities across all stages of the process, from raw material reception, packaging, to finished product realization;
- Initiate and complete the management process for microbiological non-conformities by correctly following company procedures and documenting actions taken;
- Ensure the correct application of all operational instructions related to microbiological quality control;
- Manage customer/consumer complaints as per company procedures, maintain the relevant records, and provide necessary information to involved functions; collaborate in defining parameters for raw materials/packaging/products qualification and related sampling plans/specifications;
- Independently coordinate laboratory activities and personnel, leading continuous improvement plans.
Main Activities
- Prepare monthly reports based on trend analysis prioritized by Quality Management;
- Assist in conducting periodic internal audits related to key production activities (Mixing, Treatments, Packaging, Sanitation, etc.) to verify compliance with procedures;
- Initiate and perform specific sampling following deviations from company quality standards;
- Ensure documentation and records of control activities conducted by laboratory technicians are compliant, properly updated, archived, and accessible online;
- Manage technical staff regarding leave, permits, and shifts;
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning, calibration, and servicing;
- Ensure correct application of analytical methodologies as dictated by AQ;
- Support validation of method efficacy;
- Contribute to the improvement of quality KPIs related to the area of expertise.
Requirements and Skills
- Degree in scientific disciplines (Biology or related fields) or equivalent qualification;
- Previous experience in microbiological laboratories within the food industry or food analysis laboratories;
- HACCP certification;
- UHT technology knowledge;
- Analytical skills and decision-making ability, especially in uncertain situations, including risk communication;
- Good command of English (B2 level).
