Job summary

Element Solutions Inc. through MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions is seeking a laboratory technician for its San Martino di Trecate site in Italy.

You will conduct chemical and physical analyses of finished goods and raw materials, calibrate equipment, document results, follow good laboratory practices, and maintain a safe, organized workspace while working a rotating two-shift schedule (6:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00).

Qualifications

• High school leaving qualification in technical school or a technical degree.
• A period of experience and/or training in a laboratory is very appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Inspection and technical and chemical analysis of finished goods to ensure they are within specification.
• Inspection and technical and chemical analysis of raw materials to ensure they are within specification.
• Report non-compliance of materials (finished goods and raw materials) to management.
• Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation for testing following procedures.
• Calibrate equipment and prepare/standardize reagents per procedures.
• Record analytical results using appropriate software.
• Keep and archive retained samples for verifications.
• Adhere to good laboratory practices and quality procedures.
• Check for unsafe conditions and report to supervisor.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards.

Who are we looking for?

This position will be responsible for conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests of solid or liquid materials analyzing test data by performing specific duties for our site in San Martino di Trecate (NO) - Italy.

The successful candidate will work on a rotating two-shift schedule, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

What will you be doing?

• Inspection and technical and chemical analysis of finished goods to ensure that within the specification.
• Inspection and technical and chemical analysis of raw materials to ensure that within the specification.
• To ensure that non-compliance of materials (Finished goods and Raw materials) is reported to management.
• Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for such testing and analysis following either standardized or experimental formulas and procedures.
• Calibrate lab equipment and both prepare and standardize lab reagents (titrants, indicators, buffers or standards) according to standardized procedure.
• Recording of all analytical results using the appropriate software.
• Keep and archive the retained samples for future verifications.
• Follow good laboratory practices and methods and MPS’ quality practices and procedures.
• Checks for unsafe conditions during their shift, and either corrects or reports these items to the supervisor.
• Maintains a high standard of housekeeping as part of normal operations.

Who are You?

You will be employed with the National Contract of Chemists (CCNL Chimico – CNEL B011) with the possibility to subscribe to the related Health and Pension funds (FASCHIM and FONCHIM).
