Malwarebytes is seeking a collaborative Research QA Engineer to thrive in a dynamic, multi-project environment. You will improve test processes, execute manual and automated tests, and help uncover defects to ensure software quality across desktop and web services.

The role requires strong QA fundamentals and hands-on automation with Python (Pytest) or Playwright, plus experience in CI/CD and agile teams. Remote work allowances and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualificações

• 3+ years in QA roles within agile teams, with a strong focus on desktop application testing.

Annual Compensation Range: The expected salary range for this role is €40,000–€50,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location

What You Will Do

• Comprehend and execute test cases (manual and automated)

Skills You'll Need To Have

• Strong understanding of testing theory and QA best practices, specifically for web services applications
• Solid understanding of distribute architecture and ecosystem
• Familiarity with development and debugging tools for Python, Go, Ruby and React
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing automated test cases using Python and Pytest or Playwright for React
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GHA), including integrating automated tests into workflows
• Proven ability to take ownership of QA processes, ensuring seamless quality management from development to release
• 3+ years of experience in QA roles within agile teams, with a strong focus on desktop application testing
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot complex issues and provide actionable insights
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
• Ability to mentor team members, drive QA initiatives, and establish robust testing processes

Nice To Have

• Proficiency in Go or Ruby or React to understand codebases, debug issues, and collaborate with developers effectively
• Experience with performance and stress testing for web services, including resource monitoring and optimization
• Familiarity with API testing tools and frameworks, such as Postman, Bruno, or equivalent
• Knowledge of security and privacy standards
• Experience with accessibility testing to ensure compliance with accessibility guidelines
