ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Photovoltaic System Designer to support our partner in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in the technical design of photovoltaic systems, with the ability to develop efficient and sustainable solutions for residential, commercial and industrial projects.

The first two weeks there will be a trip to Tirana (ALBANIA) for onboarding; subsequently the work will be remote.

Main responsibilities:

  • Technical design of photovoltaic systems, including the optimal arrangement of panels, inverters, storage systems and electrical components.
  • Energy calculations to estimate the production and efficiency of the system based on solar radiation, orientation and other site-specific variables.
  • Technical inspections to evaluate the feasibility of the project, collect technical data and identify any critical issues.
  • Use of specialized software such as PVSyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, SketchUp for simulation and detailed design.
  • Drafting of technical documentation, including electrical diagrams, floor plans, technical reports and project specifications.
  • Support in the permitting phase, preparing the necessary documentation to obtain the required authorizations.
  • Collaboration with the installation team to ensure that the system is built in compliance with the project and technical standards.
  • Technical and economic optimization of the project to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Monitoring of current regulations and constant updating on technologies and best practices in the sector.
  • Technical support during the commissioning phase and in post-installation maintenance activities.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical, Energy, Mechanical Engineering or similar disciplines.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in designing photovoltaic systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of design software: PVSyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.
  • Regulatory knowledge: Technical and safety regulations for photovoltaic systems.
  • Technical skills: Energy calculations, electrical design, photovoltaic components (panels, inverters, storage systems).
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work towards objectives in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
