This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading and growing company in the machinery sector, based in Verona.

Responsibilities

The candidate will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for coordinating the purchasing and procurement department. Specifically, the main activities will include:

1. Market analysis, supplier scouting, and supplier evaluations, including on-site visits and business trips.
2. Managing contract negotiations and framework agreements with a cost-saving approach and identifying alternative purchasing solutions.
3. Organizing weekly and monthly purchasing plans.
4. Managing the resources within the purchasing and procurement department to ensure the proper logistical flow of inbound materials, in line with budgeted costs and production plan requirements.
5. Overseeing monthly inventory management for product categories.
6. Collaborating with the quality department to align on purchasing specifications, and with the production manager to review actual sales budgets and adjust forecasting plans accordingly.
7. Actively pursuing continuous improvement initiatives, both in terms of cost efficiency and in sourcing higher-quality suppliers.

Your Profile

Only candidates with the following requirements will be considered for the selection process:

• Degree in technical or business-related field, with 8–10 years of experience as a Purchasing Manager in industrial companies operating in the machinery or plant engineering sectors.
• Strong proficiency in using key enterprise MRP systems.
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

A strong results orientation, teamwork skills, analytical and organizational planning abilities, and excellent negotiation and communication skills in both Italian and English will complete the ideal candidate profile.
