The Purchasing Director is responsible for managing centralized purchasing and supporting the purchasing management of divisional commodities and services for the Headquarter and Subsidiaries, following LVMH guidelines. The role involves handling risk management and Intellectual Property (IP) policies in collaboration with the Legal Team.
Responsibilities
- Set standards for centralized purchasing and liaise with involved functions.
- Manage relations with suppliers, finalize negotiations, and define framework contracts with the Legal Team.
- Liaise with LVMH to identify and generate group synergies.
- Identify new opportunities for savings and service improvements, providing technical and negotiation expertise.
- Support risk management and claim activities, ensuring compliance with LVMH policies worldwide.
- Assist in defining and implementing risk analysis and loss prevention policies at Loro Piana plants, coordinating with the divisional Supply Chain.
- Scout the market for innovative services and solutions.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and activities.
- Support the implementation of new procedures in accounts payable and maintain current procedures, collaborating with Administration Italy, Management Control, IT, and Internal Control.
- Contribute to projects related to supply and risk management, defining priorities and responsibilities, and collaborating across divisions.
- Support policy development and implementation regarding company cars, employee benefits, insurance, and business travel, negotiating with main suppliers and collaborating with HR and Payroll teams.
Profile
- Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Purchases and/or Supply Chain functions within structured, multinational companies.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strong team working skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; SAP MM experience preferred.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional fluency in French is a plus.
