Job Summary
This will be a hybrid role of publisher account management and sales, where you will provide strategic account management for an assigned portfolio of existing national publishers, and sales leadership with the acquisition of publishers. You will develop and manage overall account strategies for specific named accounts, including identification of incremental revenue opportunities, new product and service opportunities, and retention of embedded base services. You will be responsible for the overall publisher acquisition, relationship management, and satisfaction in addition to delivering revenue and retention objectives.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop trusted and consultative relationships with monetization decision-makers at Tier 1 & Tier 2 publishers in Italy
- Create an approach and execute in the acquisition of large / Tier 1 publishers in Italy
- Collaborate, strategize, and execute quarterly and annual plans for growth, investment, and overall innovation with key external stakeholders
- Establish and grow programmatic inventory access and prioritization with all partners across various points of distribution, while identifying areas of potential growth and accelerating strategic opportunities
- Become an expert in client-specific yield processes to craft unique solutions that drive utilization of FreeWheel’s monetization platforms and services
- Renew customer contracts to protect and grow existing revenue streams
- Maintain regular account contact to ensure positioning and alignment of company services within assigned accounts
- Provide thought leadership to translate strategic priorities into measurable actions aligned with revenue goals
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape and market trends while providing product feedback
- Maintain engagements at customer locations or places of business for the purpose of closing sales
- Collaborate closely with FreeWheel’s Publisher Account Teams to simplify workflows and reduce friction between supply and demand
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations leadership to develop project plans and overall strategy to optimize sales opportunities, while providing a superior customer experience.
To be successful in this role, you must have
- More than 5 years of experience in the media and/or advertising technology space in client-facing roles with a record of growing revenue, either at a video publisher, technology vendor supporting video publishers, or agency
- Extensive experience in account management and acquisition, dealing with senior management
- An existing relationship or portfolio of main publishers in Italy
- In-depth knowledge of CTV ad serving, programmatic, yield, ad exchanges, DSPs/SSPs, DMPs, and a firm grasp of the media distribution landscape
- High confidence in managing conflicting requirements of multiple stakeholders across different organizational levels
- An open mindset to work with high-level stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English and Italian, as you will be dealing with clients across Italy and international stakeholders
- A recognized self-starter capable of keeping pace in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid setup (2-3 times per week at the office)
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
