The Public Policy Manager will be responsible for developing and executing government affairs advocacy objectives and political priorities for Amazon in Italy.

This role involves creating and implementing government affairs strategies to engage with national and local institutions on specific policy issues, including sustainability. The manager will educate key agency officials and staff on priority policy issues, coordinate advocacy work with third parties such as trade associations and consultants, and collaborate with internal teams to align business priorities with public policy goals.

The position reports to the IT Public Policy Director and works closely with the public policy team to achieve goals. The role is based in Rome, Italy.

Basic qualifications

• Law or Economics Degree
• Relevant public policy experience with a strong understanding of policy issues and government relations strategies
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Willingness and ability to travel

Preferred qualifications

• Master’s Degree
• Ability to be a substantive issue expert and manage complex regulatory and political issues, including sustainability
• Excellent communication skills, with experience in creating and delivering clear messaging
• Understanding of technical aspects related to corporate operations and business implications
• Ability to interact effectively with corporate, legislative, regulatory, and government officials
• High ethical standards, confidentiality, and integrity
