Location: IT (Milan)

Hybrid role: 3 days a week from our Milan office & 2 days working from home

Full-time role: 6 months FTC

Expected hours of work: Monday - Friday, 40 hours

About this role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented PTP (Purchase-to-Pay) Accountant to become a key member of our Global Finance Operations team. In this role, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end PTP cycle, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company policies and local regulations. Operating in a fast-paced global environment, you'll use your problem-solving skills and understanding of finance technology to meet the needs of the business. Your work will be crucial to the smooth operation of our finance systems and processes, contributing to the company's continued growth and success. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.

These are some of the key responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end PTP cycle, from purchase order support to supplier payments.
• Accurately process vendor invoices and credit notes, ensuring correct accounting allocation.
• Manage supplier relationships, resolve discrepancies, and address inquiries.
• Prepare and execute supplier payments in accordance with company policies.
• Reconcile supplier balances and contribute to month-end closing processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a streamlined PTP cycle.
• Support process improvements and ensure compliance with regulations.

What will you bring to the role?

• Relevant degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or significant professional experience in PTP accounting roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP and IFRS) and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite, with familiarity in PO management.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a focus on accuracy.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for supplier and colleague interactions.
• Native Italian speaker with strong spoken and written English (B2 level or equivalent), and a proactive problem-solving approach.
