Job Purpose:

Plans, schedules, manages, supervises, and oversees the execution of broad and complex firm-business turbomachinery projects, which could exceed $30 million in revenue. The scope includes all commercial, contractual, and technical aspects, as well as planning, design, procurement, assembly, testing, shipment, and commissioning of these projects. This position may provide technical direction to lower-level project engineers.

Responsibilities include managing the execution of these projects from booking to beneficial use, ensuring commercial and technical aspects are covered, and leading regular tollgate meetings with the project team. Ensures project definition is correct and followed throughout manufacturing, interfaces with customers on technical and commercial matters, and ensures their expectations are met in terms of time and quality. Prepares cost estimates at booking, cash, and shipment stages, monitors progress, resolves issues swiftly, and approves customer drawings and manuals. Ensures project revenue recognition and profitability align with financial plans.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of effective project management strategies; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects efficiently.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing and project management.
• Thorough knowledge of turbine design and operation principles, capable of directing multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in English; German skills are highly recommended.
• Excellent communication skills, multitasking, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel internationally on short notice, estimated 20-30% of the time.
